A big thanks to Nifty Timing who have provided free race numbers to all runners and are assisting with race timing.

Scimitar Sports have again provided prizes for all podium winners in both races, as well as free race flags and banners. They are also providing discounted running tops.

The Highland Hotel – Bamyan Afghanistan

A big thanks to The Highland Hotel who provided seating, tea, water and cake for all the finishers. Without their assistance and hospitality we would not have been able to arrange the race.


A big thanks to the staff at the Bamian office of HELP. Help is a wonderful NGO and development organisation from Germany that works in Bamian to improve economical development. Their staff acted as marshals for the Marathon of Afghanistan and offered the use of a number of their vehicles and equipment to make the race possible.
